Very close in proximity, Crazy Horse was the Indians response to Mt. Rushmore. Since Indians had been protrayed in a negative way in history, they wanted to have their own monument to show and teach the positive contributions the Indians have made. Strangely though this is run by white people and me and Sarah thought a bit of a rip off monetarily compared to Mt. Rushmore. Maybe once they have it completed....but they have been working on it for 5oish years already, so who know when that will happen...
