When we got to Yellowstone we were glad we went to South Dakota first. The Black Hills in South Dakota are very serene. There are not as many tourists, the people are nicer, and there were many times when it was just me and sarah on the road or exploring the land. However, Yellowstone in one word is grand. Everything is on a much larger scale and there are many different types of ecosystems, although all stem from the volcanic/thermal activity in the earth.
